Thaproban Beach House

This hotel is right on the beach. We ate in the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner. The dinner was served on a table on the beach. For dinner there are a lot of fresh seafood and fish options. The breakfast was local food like fruit, bread, jam and curry. I really liked it. Nice clean room with a mosquito net.

Мы забронировали номер в отель Thaproban Beach House, когда пришли заселчться, то оказалось, что наша бронь в этом месте отсутствует, и бронь у нас в Thaproban Pavilion Resort & Spa. Спасибо команде Trip.com помогли разобраться и решать вопросы. И отель Thaproban Pavilion Resort & Spa оказался гораздо лучше чем Thaproban Beach House. Правда он находится не на пляже, но до пляжа 5-7 минут. Отель супер, все удобства, номера большие с видом на океан. Очень вкусные завтраки, на территории 2 бассейна, один с солёной водой. В общем отель очень рекомендую. Нам очень понравился. И ни разу не пожалели, что нас заселились именно в него.

We absolutely loved the location; right on the beachfront and central of the small town with lots of restaurants and shops. Kevin in particular was an absolute star, went above and beyond - constantly smiling, welcoming and all the staff couldn't do enough for us. Kiki was our favourite furry friend. The free shuttle to use the pool at the sister Hotel was really great and an added bonus. Would definitely recommend staying here. The bed could've been ever so slightly comfier and the doors are quite thin as we were staying above the kitchen so heard noise until about 10pm but if you're out later you wouldn't notice on your return and we still slept well. Would absolutely return here!

We originally sat next door to this place and failed to be served.. as soon as we sat down here we got drinks! Attentive and friendly staff and drinks are great. Right on the beach too :) really lovely atmosphere and chilled vibe with nice surroundings.

We stayed here for 10 nights and had a great experience. What a lovely little Hotel, with excellent staff, a special mention to Kevin and also Beauntie (sorry if spelt wrong )they saw to all our needs Kevin is a gem . All the staff were great, always smiling and happy to say hello when they met you daily. The guy that seen to the beach beds was great. also he always managed to find you a great spot on the beach. Not forgetting the guy that seen to my pre-bed cocktails each night. We had a superior room looking out towards the beach on the ground floor. It was lovely . Any small Repairs that had to be seen to there was no wait involved. After reporting the issues to reception , the lady on reception was very helpful and accommodating. We particularly enjoyed barbecue night which was on a Friday. The food was amazing. Breakfast was also good too You would never leave hungry. The seafood was lovely also. You could use the pool at the other hotel just ask reception and they will send a buggy for you. It will take you there and back free. The only downsides I would mention is the taxi that took us to the airport the driver was falling asleep and had to stop to get a wash and a coffee we had still an hour and a half to go he just left us sitting in the car but this was not the hotels fault, it was scary as he was texting and eating and was all over the road when he continued, not the fault of the hotel . Also, the loud music from the hotels on each side of ours was horrendous so loud. This was out of our hotels control. Unfortunately one morning it went on till 4.30am the morning mostly 2 am at the earliest once again, not our hotels fault . The only other problem we had was the security guard nightwatchman asked us for money on several occasions, we tipped most of the staff but never gave him anything as it’s not good to ask. Sri Lanka is a lovely place and the Hotel we stayed in was amazing in every way , it’s just a shame that the area has been taken over by a lot of tourists from one county in particular 80-90% which is such a shame hardly anyone from the UK .

We were staying at Thaproban Pavillion Waves and went to the Beach House, their sister beach restaurant daily over 5 days. The food was beautifully presented and Indrunil took excellent care of us and even personalised our salad. A special mention to Monasinghe who always made a valiant and vigilant effort in sorting out the sunbeds for the guests!

The friendliest hotel ever! Located right on the beach with an excellent restaurant, this was such a winner. The best part is honestly the service - everyone is so lovely here and the staff are so welcoming and always ready to help. Special mention to our waiter Indunil who was an absolute gem! He helped us choose the freshest seafood for dinner and was so attentive with all our requests. We had the best dinner and best stay because of him! We didn’t even want to eat anywhere else because he honestly treated us like royalty and also made the best pinacolada we’ve ever had!! We can’t wait to come back to this hotel and stay for longer! Our only regret is staying for only one night. Highly recommend this beautiful place 😊

Fabulous stay in this gorgeous hotel right on the beach. All of the staff without exception were top rate! They couldn’t have been more attentive, so kind friendly and helpful, always with a smile too. We had room 1, practically right on the beach. The room had everything you need, air con, fan, safe, hair dryer, good shower and very comfy bed. The restaurant was excellent with lots of tourists from other hotels coming to eat, always a good sign. I had the most delicious tuna which I like cooked rare and it came just as I wanted. Sadly we only had one night here but we would definitely come back.
